Took another pic today from the same position at work but this time the view was so much nicer, beautiful clear blue sky and glorious sunshine, truly a day to make you feel good.
While looking for a project to do today while scrapping with my lovely friend Kim Ewins I came across the current March Challenge at 7 Dots studio. The colours were just perfect for this pic of my gorgeous friend Vicky and I taken in August last year. I had purchased the beautiful Northern lights collection quite a while ago but had put off using it as it was too nice and I didn't want to waste it (who hasn't done that) but I held my breath and starting ripping and distressing. The colours were what drew me to the mood board more so than the theme. I used some stunning flowers from 49 and Market, and a spray of crystal drops which again matched up with the board. Also added to the page were some yummy Scrapmatts leave sprays which I painted with a green mist. Thanks heaps for looking Cheers Annette
I loved the challenge at Kraft + Kraft + Good reads challenge and have just managed to get my page done and uploaded before it ended. I love to read and will read just about any genre as long as the book keeps me interested. The book that I have done this page on is a timeless Australian classic, Seven Little Australians by Ethel Turner. I remember reading this as a young teen and loved all the characters. I still to this day shed a tear when Judy dies. I never had a copy of the book but when I was in Katoomba one day I went to an antique shop that had a book section and found this copy. It is battered and well worn which didn't concern me but the thing I found surprising was on the inside cover there was an awarded to sticker. The book was awarded to Millie Carter, Mole Creek Methodist Church Sunday School, Year 7 1941, that makes this copy 78 years old!!!! It is a beautiful old book that is a great addition to my collection. I have used book pages on the page as well a
So the November Challenge at Kraft Plus is Think Big . While I had a few pics that I thought would work for this challenge I decided on this one of a beautiful and majestic tiger at Mogo Zoo. His eyes locked with mine as I was taking his picture and it was a very surreal moment, I felt as though he could see into my soul. I used a mix of pp for this page some old Kaiser basecoat, Prima timeless memories, 2 crafty chippies, hessian, old book paper. Behind the pic is some stencilling using TCW mini butterfly collage and of course a Big B which I embossed with Colour blast charcoal and then rubbed some orange paint over it. Thanks to the Kraft plus team for a great challenge. Cheers to all Annette
