OCTOBER CHALLENGES - SCRAP THAT SONG

And I am all alone
There is no one here beside me
And my problems have all gone
There is no one to deride me

But you got to have friends

The feeling's oh so strong
You go to have friends
To make that day last long
I had some friends but their gone
Someone came and took them away
And from the dusk till the dawn
Here is where I'll stay

Standing at the end of the road, boys

Waiting for my new friends to come
I don't care if I'm hungry or bored
I'm gonna get me some of them

Cause you got to have friends

La la la la la la la la la
Friends, I said you,
Oh you, yeah you, I said
You got to have some Friends
Something about friends
Just right friends
Friends, friends, friends

I had some friends oh but they're all gone, gone

Someone came and snatched them away
And from the dusk until the very dawn
You know here is where I gotta stay
Here is where I gotta stay
And I'm standing at the end of a real long road
And I'm waiting for my new friends to come
I don't care if I'm hungry or freezing cold
I'm gonna get me some of them

Cause you got to have friends

That's right friends
Friends,?.I gotta see my, I gotta see my
I gotta see all of my friends, friends
Friends, friends, friends
Ohhh

These are the lyrics to the Bette Midler song "You got to have friends" and is my choice for the October song Challenge at Scrap that Song http://scrapthatsong.blogspot.com/  I was kind of singing the chorus in my head as I was scrapping these pics of the gorgeous Mary http://mbennetts.blogspot.com/ and the lovely Kim http://lifeisabalancingactx8.blogspot.com/ but until I read the lyrics I never realise that it was a bit of a sad song. Oh well, take what you want and leave the rest, that's how it works doesn't it?
So without further ado here is my page honoring these two amazing women who are such an important part of my life.

Used lots of yumminess on this page, starting with the pp which is from the Mariposa Stack - DCWV, butterflies punched out of pp from the Prima Madeline A4 stack, Kaiser Paper Bloom, hand made twirl flowers, Websters netting (just gorgeous) and alphas (coloured ones), random small paper roses (local craft shop), small chippie bird cage (bought this at the Brissy expo but can't remember which stand), Prima alphas, ribbon from the lovely Jo Tritton http://mycherrypiecreations.blogspot.com/ and thanks to the sweet Cheryl O'Brien for letting me play with her Cricut (so want one now). The quote was from A little book of friendship and just the perfect size.
All up I really love the page except not too sure of the alphas on Mares' pic, oh well they are there now.
Anyhoo thanks for stopping by and having a peek, hugs and love to all xo

Hi Annette, Thanks for having a look at the linky issue for me. I still don't think it's working properly though. I uploaded my layout but it isn't showing. I tried a second time and it said my link already exists? These things are a headache aren't they lol xox
