More than words challenge
I just loved the October Challenge at More than words.
Word Inspiration - DELICATE
Creative Challenge - FABRICS
What does the word DELICATE inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it. Since, as you are aware, words
are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know
how this month's word stimulated your creative process,
so please do explain in your blog post how it inspired you!

For our creative challenge this month, we ask that you incorporate on your project some type(s) of FABRIC! You can decide to either do some lacing with your favourite satin ribbon, include a lovely piece of vintage lace, decorate with some burlap or even go trendy by adding a touch of denim. Dress up your project in whatever textile your creative heart fancies!
I was particularly drawn to the word DELICATE and knew that these pics I took of a dandelion flower were absolutely perfect.
I found a beautiful quote about dandelion flowers that has the word DELICATE in it so again perfect for the challenge.
The quote is "The dandelion flower tells us that life is short, delicate and you never know where the winds may take you. Irrespective of that, don't forget to dream, wish and remember the bigger joys that come from the little things in life".
The fabric used is a piece of hessian ribbon and two small doilies, and again with the delicate theme I added some feathers. The background was stamped with a lattice stamp and then texture paste was used with a bubble stencil, a gorgeous scrapmatts chippie which I embossed, some clear seed beads, silver micro beads plus some other bits from my stash.
Really loved how this turned out and I have made it in time for the end of the challenge. Phew!!!!
Cheers all
Annette
