Took another pic today from the same position at work but this time the view was so much nicer, beautiful clear blue sky and glorious sunshine, truly a day to make you feel good.
I loved the challenge at Kraft + Kraft + Good reads challenge and have just managed to get my page done and uploaded before it ended. I love to read and will read just about any genre as long as the book keeps me interested. The book that I have done this page on is a timeless Australian classic, Seven Little Australians by Ethel Turner. I remember reading this as a young teen and loved all the characters. I still to this day shed a tear when Judy dies. I never had a copy of the book but when I was in Katoomba one day I went to an antique shop that had a book section and found this copy. It is battered and well worn which didn't concern me but the thing I found surprising was on the inside cover there was an awarded to sticker. The book was awarded to Millie Carter, Mole Creek Methodist Church Sunday School, Year 7 1941, that makes this copy 78 years old!!!! It is a beautiful old book that is a great addition to my collection. I have used book pages on the page as well a...
I am so fortunate to have two really awesome ladies, Mary and Kim as my dearest friends, and incredibly lucky that we have the opportunity to get together every second Saturday to scrap. This Saturday was fantastic as we had the lovely Cheryl (Cootamundra) and the gorgeous Jo (Mudgee) both travel to join us all for the day. We all had so much fun, scrapping, chatting, playing with the great toys that Jo (bigshot) well looked at Jo's didn't really play, but will next time and Cheryl (cricut) did have a play with it (can see a wish list happening here) And then of course there was lunch, chicken, tossed salad (with a yummy handmade dressing by Mary) and crusty french stick, but the thing that we were all waiting for was Kims Famous PAV and boy was the wait worth, it think she excelled hereself this this. And if the look on Jo's face was anything to go by, yes, it tasted as good as it looked, I still have one piece left for afternoon tea today. Yummo!!!! Then u...
So the second challenge I did a layout for is the October 15th Challenge at Stuck?! Sketches, October 15th Challenge . Really liked the Sketch for this Challenge It was perfect for this last picture of my beautiful dog Wombat who crossed over the rainbow bridge on the 22nd September this year. He was not quite 17 and was the most gentle, loving and incredible dog that I have had the privilege of being part of our lives. Unfortunately his arthritis became that bad a decision had to be made. He took a piece of my heart with him and he will never be forgotten. For this page I used some old 7 dots studio Lost and Found paper, washi tape, jute ribbon and lots of bits and pieces from my stash. Cheers all Annette
